Appointment Info
The first session is 2 hours.
Plan on approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes when scheduled with a steam.
The first prenatal session is 90 minutes.
What to expect during your session.Children usually need approximately 60 minutes for a first session.
The first session includes learning self care massage. If you prefer to not learn this, we can schedule a shorter session.
Steams are scheduled in addition to abdominal therapy. I no longer offer stand alone steams.
Abdominal Therapy for Pregnancy & Postpartum
Your comfort is optimized on a specially designed pregnancy massage table that supports your tummy with a unique and comfortable support sling in place that adjusts to fit you. There are also cushioned breast recesses for much needed comfort.
I do not charge extra for cupping when you are scheduled for an abdominal therapy session.
Cautions & Contraindications
Holistic Abdominal Therapy is not performed:
Within the first 6 weeks following a vaginal delivery or the first 3 months after a cesarean birth.
If cancer is present or suspected anywhere in the pelvis, or the client is undergoing chemotherapy for this condition.
Immediately after abdominal surgery.
In an area where surgical mesh has been placed in the abdomen.

After you have scheduled your appointment
Fill out the abdominal therapy forms. Let me know if you need to come early to fill out a pre-printed form and I will have them ready for you to fill out before your session so you are not filling out paperwork during your scheduled session time.
Read the directions so you know where to park and how to get into the building so you can be at your session on time.

Moon Shadow Healing Arts is located near 494 and Prairie Center Drive in the Cambria building right next to the Remax Real Estate building.

Do not look for the building number. You can easily find where to go when you see the HUGE CAMBRIA sign on top of the building.
Driving, parking & entering the building - Very important things to know!
If you drive past the 2nd building on the left (the Cambria building), you have gone too far. Even if your GPS tells you to keep going, don't. It will take you east down 78th Street to the roundabouts. If you get there, it could take another 15 minutes to get back to the building.
You have to enter on the EAST side of the building. East is the side with the long uphill driveway.
The door is locked. You may need to call reception on the black phone in the vestibule and let them know you are there to see me and they will buzz you in. Otherwise they will just buzz you in when they see you at the door.
There is a restroom straight ahead across from the elevator if you need to use it before you come downstairs.
